Data Deletion

You do not need to ask anyone to delete your account and your data; you do it yourself from inside the app. This page explains how, and what happens.

How to delete

  1. Sign in.
  2. Open the Account screen.
  3. Use Delete account at the bottom of the page.

What happens

Deletion is not immediate. The server schedules it 7 days ahead and shows you that date. The wait exists for accidental deletion: until that day you can sign in and cancel.

On that day the following are deleted:

  • Your account and email address
  • Your sessions
  • Any uploaded photos still held
  • Your coin balance and spending history
  • Your support conversations

What is not deleted

Honestly: not everything goes. What remains:

  • Purchase records. Kept for the legally required period for tax and accounting. They show that a purchase happened, not who you are.
  • Backups. System backups are kept for 14 days; a deleted account's data remains in them until they expire, then falls away on its own. Backups are used only for disaster recovery.
  • Abuse records. If an account was closed for a violation, a technical marker remains that prevents the same person immediately opening a new one. The marker does not contain your identity.

What expires on its own anyway

Even if you never delete your account:

  • Photos you upload: 30 days.
  • Generated images: never stored on our servers. The result link lives about 24 hours, then it is gone.
  • Usage records: 90 days.

Getting a copy first

You can request a copy of your data before deleting. The same Account screen has Export your data. A deleted account cannot be restored, so take the copy first if you want one.

Is removing the app enough

No. Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account; it stays on the server. Follow the steps above.

If you cannot sign in

If you have lost access to your email address and want your account deleted, use the request form. We have to verify that the account is yours; we will not act on a request we cannot verify, because that would be a way to have someone else's account deleted.
